Construction Manager for Coop Renovation

The Dixon Cooperative Market is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee the renovation and alteration of the market building as the current market expands into the adjoining space beginning January 2, 2012. The position is short term and has been funded by a grant from the Wallace HUFED Center. The manager will report to the HUFED Grant Project Coordinator. The manager will be responsible for providing professional advice regarding the renovation, following design drawings, purchasing materials and arranging qualified subcontractors as necessary to complete the work according to standard building code requirements. This is a hands-on position and the manager will be expected to provide his/her own tools and equipment and to work side by side with the subcontractors and volunteers as necessary during the project. The work will consist of small remodeling projects that will require rough and finish carpentry, electrical, plumbing and mechanical skills. The salary will be $25.00 per hour depending on experience.
